Interdependence and diversity represent the fundamental strengths of our country.

We need a movement that brings Americans together, to build a more perfect union that is participatory and representative, with liberty and justice for all.

Who are we?

We are a fast-growing group of funders, thinkers, creators, and civic leaders—all committed to forming a more perfect union, one that affirms the critical importance of interdependence, diversity, and equity for all.

We are building a movement, to inspire and shape a stronger future for our country through mutual recognition and healing, and by harnessing the diverse strengths of people and communities.

We are an incubator and accelerator, helping to build a five-year campaign that ensures deep and enduring commitments to interdependence, diversity, and equity across all states and regions—coastal and inland, urban and rural, red and blue.

Our Goals

Engage and support diverse artists, writers, storytellers and other movement builders from every state, to elevate and amplify their narratives as we begin the story of our next 250 years.

Support people and places that have traditionally been overlooked, with a goal of hosting 2,500 events and activities by July 4, 2026.

Motivate corporate, philanthropic and government entities to pledge and invest $250,000,000 in ideas and ventures that strengthen our interdependent society and democracy by July 4, 2026.

Inspire the commitment of Americans to advocate for, celebrate, and preserve our interdependence as necessary to the formation of a more perfect union, with a goal of 2,500,000 pledges by 2026.

We are building a movement, to inspire and shape a stronger future for our country.

We Hold These Truths...
Our Living Declaration

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. These words formed the basis of our Declaration nearly 250 years ago. What do these words mean to us today?
Much like a living Constitution, we invite you to share your thoughts and creative expression on what each of these terms mean to you and your community today.
In each quarter (July-Sept, Oct-Dec, Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun), we invite you to share your reflections and creative expression—through words, images, or sound.
In the final quarter, you will have the opportunity to add your own word to our Living Declaration, and say more about why it holds great meaning to you.

Life/Alive

July-Sept 2021: What does it mean to be alive, especially in light of the pandemic?

Liberty/Liberation

Oct-Dec 2021: What does liberty mean to you today, in light of various movements for liberation at home and elsewhere?

Happiness/Fulfillment

Jan-Mar 2022: What does it mean to be happy? And how can we reduce harm to others while pursuing our own fulfillment?

Fill in the Blank

Apr-Jun 2022: If you had the chance, what word would you add to the Declaration?
